The Carter Agency specializes in innovative, results-oriented public relations campaigns. We managed the media relations campaigns for clients planning and developing comprehensive media awareness programs. We coordinate outreach activities which include evaluation and recommendation of strategies for our clients’projects. We develop communications portion of marketing plans for clients. We assign and monitor relationships with independent contractors (photographers, creative directors, film producers). We plan and execute special events for clients. We provide clients with publicity, media coaching, writing and advertising.

Established in 2002.
The Carter Agency got started after the Managing Director, Ron Carter, left Quincy Jones’ Qwest Records to chart his journey as an entrepreneur. Over the last eight years, The Carter Agency has represented clients in consumer marketing, technology, entertainment, non-profit, sports and celebrity arena. Carter is the current president of the North Lake Village Business Association in Pasadena and he sits on the boards of Pasadena Chamber of Commerce; Save Africa’s Children and One Community: A Grassroots Think Tank.

Ron Carter is Managing Director of The Carter Agency. Clients included developer Dorn Platz, sports legend Evel Knievel. He was former Senior Director of Media Relations, Quincy Jones’ Qwest Records where he represented Jones, Ray Charles among others. Carter was also Manager of Publicity for Warner Bros Records where he represented Chaka Khan, Joshua Redman, Ice-T, Earth, Wind & Fire among others. He began music industry career at Motown Record as Assistant to the Executive Director of Press & Publicity. He later was named Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Communications, Michael Jackson’s MJJ Productions. He also served as Media Relations Publicist for Polygram Records and Director of Publicity for Mercury Records. Prior to his career in the music business, Carter was a Trust Administrator for Bank of America in Los Angeles. He also served as an Internal Auditor for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. He is a board member of Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.
